This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and process data when you interact with our Facebook Messenger support integration.
1. Data We Collect
When you send a message to our Facebook Page(s), we collect and process the following Meta Platform User Data:
- Public Profile Information: Facebook Name, Profile Picture, and Facebook User ID (PSID).
- Message Content: Text, media attachments, and timestamps of messages sent to our Page(s).
2. How We Use Your Data
We process your data strictly to facilitate customer support. Specifically, data is used to:
- Receive, route, and respond to inquiries via our Chatwoot platform.
- Maintain conversation history for ongoing customer service context.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties, nor do we use Meta Platform Data for advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. Data Retention & Security
We retain conversation logs only for as long as necessary to provide customer support or fulfill legal obligations. Stored data is secured using industry-standard encryption and strict access controls.
4. User Data Deletion Instructions (Meta Compliance)
In accordance with Facebook Platform Rules and GDPR guidelines, you may request the deletion of your personal data and message history at any time:
Option A: Revoke Access via Facebook
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy > Settings.
- Navigate to Apps and Websites.
- Locate Chatwoot Integration and click Remove.
Option B: Direct Deletion Request
To request complete removal of your chat history from our server, email appdevelopment@bengalcreativemedia.com with the subject line “Facebook Data Deletion Request” and provide your Facebook profile name. Requests are fulfilled within 30 days.
